Yes!
We take out snakes to our guests regularly, just ask when you are here if you don't see a zookeeper holding one. On weekends and holidays we have a schedule, usually every hour.
It varies. Some animals get food every day, others a few times a year.
If you want to join us and watch the animals being fed, you can do so on Tuesdays. The times change depending on whether it is a school holiday or a weekday. See times here:

On some occasions it may be possible to meet other animals than snakes, but it varies a bit for various reasons. We don't have that many bearded dragons for example, so it would be too much for them to be taken out to everyone who wants to meet them. The same also goes for tarantulas, which many people find exciting.
It could be that they have just eaten or are in the process of molting.
Consideration for the animals always comes first and that is the reason if it is not suitable on the day you visit us.
But feel free to ask! If you're lucky, it 's possible.
You can also send us an email if there is a special request, and we will try to organize it.
The short answer is yes.
The long answer is that the snakes we take out to the public are very calm and used to being handled.
So even though they have mouths and teeth and therefore by definition can bite, it does NOT mean they will. We can reassure you that it is completely safe to meet a snake at our Reptile park.
After 23 years of having a Reptile park, we can count on one hand how many times it has happened, so we can safely say that the chance of being bitten is very, very small.
There is some street parking in the area, but it is quite limited.
There are parking garages in the area, including at Edderkoppen on St. Olavs plass. Due to constant road changes in Oslo, we recommend looking up a parking garage before your visit if you need it. The easiest way to get there is by public transport or on foot.
How long you need time you need for a visit with us depends a lot on your interests. Some people stay with us for a couple of hours, while for others half an hour is enough. The average time is one hour. If you are planning to see feedings or animal presentations, we recommend setting aside time either before or after these times to look around on your own.
